Online Marketing Manager

Our client based in Cardiff city centre are looking to recruit an experienced Marketeer to drive its online presence forward. The company is a new set up and you will be influential in the development of the strategy, aimed at the development of a strong customer base within the insurance industry.

The Position

The role is a critical one for our clients' new brand and it is key that it is correctly and justifiably promoted and seen by prospective customers - as well as employees and business partners - as having an industry-leading reputation and the highest level of trustworthiness. You will create, manage and implement the online brand reputation strategy to ensure this is achieved.

This is a very hands-on role. It will include responsibility for the following:

  • Pro-active management of all aspects of review website(s) from management of the collection of reviews at appropriate stages throughout the product lifecycle through to providing appropriate responses to review comments
  • Analysis of review data to identify trends - problems and opportunities - to inform continuous improvement of our brand and customer experience
  • Helping improve conversion of quotes to sales, renewal retention and online customer self-servicing, e.g. through star rating and provision of targeted social proof
  • Development and management of the online brand and reputation through all relevant and appropriate online channels and platforms, e.g. social media presence, LinkedIn
  • Although not a major part of the role, development and management of appropriate cost-effective marketing, e.g. PPC, re-marketing to prospects

You will apply and keep up-to-date with relevant online reputation management and online marketing techniques.

The role will also entail co-ordination with other teams and potentially third parties to ensure activity is totally joined-up across all channels and all communication mediums.

Last but absolutely not least, you will ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements.

Your Experience

You will:

  • Be a graduate with a degree of at least a 2:1 ideally in an appropriate subject, e.g. marketing, social science, behavioural science, computer science
  • Be confident and capable in respect of data analysis
  • Have 1 year of experience delivering online chat direct to customers and/or replying to social media direct messages
  • Ideally have exposure to review website workings, online reputation management and/or online marketing
  • Be inspired to continually improve the online brand reputation
