Arthritis Research UKFresh Recruitment has chosen the Arthritis Research UK as its chosen charity. Specifically research into a cure for Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA). One of the Directors of the company has a daughter that suffers from JIA, and all monies raised by the company will go to help research into a yet to be found cure for this condition which can be disabling and crippling.

Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA), is arthritis with no known cause and just as in adults, it causes inflammation, pain and swelling in the joints. It affects 1 in 1,000 children and teenagers in the UK, and can begin at any age between the ages of six months and 17yrs and is most common in girls.

Arthritis Research UK has a Noddy Appeal, which raises funds particularly to assist in the research of childhood arthritis. A major new study is currently taking place in Northern Ireland which could lead to doctors being able to predict the future severity of the disease in children, which could then lead to more effective, appropriate treatment.
